Prof. Lýdia Čislákova, DVM, PhD (1947) since 1971 is working at P. J. Šafárik University in Kosice, Faculty of Medicine as university teacher in field of Epidemiology. In 1997 she became a Head of the Institute of Public Health. She serves as a member of several scientific boards, and editorial board of Helmithologia (SSCI journal). Her scientific work was awarded several times by Slovak scientific agency and other institutions. Her research work is focused on epidemiology of infectious diseases. She participates on several research projects, is author and co-author of 501 scientific papers. She had participated on designing, preparation and delivery of curriculum for medical students in field of Public Health. She has strong academic background.
