Zuzana Katreniaková, MD, PhD (1973) is working as a teacher at P.J. Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Public Health. She is also a senior researcher at the Košice Inst. for Society and Health. Since 2003 she has been chairman of the Slovak Public Health Association and a member of the EUPHA Governing Council. Her research activities are oriented on different fields of public health, mainly on the field of health promotion. She has participated in several international research projects within the 6th FRP and DG Sanco: Opti-Work (Optimising strategies for integrating people with disabilities into work), SPHERE (Strengthening public health research in Europe), EURO-URHIS (Eur. Urban Health Indicators Syst.) and HealthPRO-Elderly (Health Promotion for Elderly).
