Assoc. Prof. Pavol Jarčuška, MD, PhD. (1963) is working as associate professor on Department of Infectology and Travel Medicine at P. J. Šafárik University, Faculty of Medicine in Košice. In 2004 -2005 was a honourable prof. in Public Health at St. Elisabeth University of Public Health and Social Science. He is Head of AIDS centre and Head of Centre for Antibiotic Therapy in University Hospital in Košice. He participated as investigator of 15 clinical trials and 9 grants, in 3 international trials he served as principal national investigator. He is member of National Committee for Antibiotic treatment and member of National DRG board at Ministry of Health. He served as member many international boards. Currently he is vicepresident of Slovak Society of Infectious Diseases.
